"I would like to express my appreciation for the assistance provided by your hospital, especially by your staff, Ms Terina Tan Pei Yin. My mum, Mdm Hung S. E was diagnosed with lymphoma in late March this year. Not only we were shocked by this piece of news news, we were totally unprepared for the high cost to be incurred in the treatment of this illness. To make matters worse, my mum is a non-Singaporean and unable to enjoy the medical subsidies for the Singaporeans. I am writing to you with regards to your Medical Social Worker, Ms Dianna Lam. Ms Lam has been attending to my mother-in-law, Mdm Samania's case who is undergoing kidney dialysis. I have been updated on a daily basis on my mother-in-law progress, from her health issues to the NKF processing. I have been advised by our family members in Singapore on how much Ms Lam has gone beyond her way to assist our family. She has been very devoted and dedicated to the cause of the patients and families that she had been in charge of as well as towards my mother-in-law and my family there. She has been very professional and her willingness to help and assist others that needed it. I sincerely feel that she has gone beyond all expectation in performing her duties as a Medical Social Worker. To hear things like this, here in the United States, makes me feel that she should be highly recommended and awarded for a job well done.
